Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Amplify Leads Inc. ("Amplify Leads", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit adlblog.com (the "Site") or request a quote through it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
1. Who we are and who is accountable
Amplify Leads Inc. (trade name: Amplify Leads) is a federal corporation (Canada), corporation number 15201268, business number 736392218, with its registered office at 131 Downsview Avenue, North York, Ontario M3M 1E3, Canada. We own and operate this Site and are the organization responsible for personal information collected through it.
Privacy Officer: Anthony Thai, Privacy Officer, Amplify Leads Inc., 131 Downsview Avenue, North York, Ontario M3M 1E3, Canada — [email protected] — +1 647-696-3903. The Privacy Officer is accountable for our compliance with this Policy.
2. Our services
We work with insurance providers and their representatives, and use this Site to advertise their products to Canadian adults.
On this Site you can request a quote or information about a partner's product by clicking through to the partner's website. With your consent, we pass your details to one or more partners, who may then contact you by email, SMS or telephone to discuss your requirements and potentially provide a quote. You are under no obligation to purchase from any partner.
adlblog.com is an advertisement for Seniors Choice life insurance. We are not an insurance company, do not underwrite insurance and do not provide personalized insurance advice. Insurance policies are issued and administered by the insurer and its agents under their own terms and privacy policies, which apply once your details are passed to them.
3. Personal information we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity data | First name, last name, date of birth or age range. |
| Contact data | Postal address or postal code, email address, telephone number(s). |
| Quote request data | Answers you enter or select in our forms or those of our partners (for example age group, smoking status, desired coverage amount). |
| Technical data | IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, time zone and approximate location, referring page. |
| Usage and advertising data | Pages viewed, clicks, and campaign identifiers passed in the link you used to reach the Site (such as click or tracking IDs), and information collected through cookies. |
We also use aggregated or de-identified data (such as the percentage of visitors who click a button). This is not personal information unless it is combined with data that identifies you, in which case we treat it as personal information.
We aim not to collect sensitive information. Where a form or a partner asks health or lifestyle questions to assess eligibility, those questions are answered directly in the insurer's process and are governed by the insurer's privacy policy.
Browsing only. If you only read this Site and do not submit a form, we do not ask you for your name or contact details. We may still receive technical, usage and advertising data described above.
4. Why we collect and use personal information
We identify the purposes for which we collect personal information before or at the time of collection, and we use it only for those purposes or as permitted or required by law:
- to process your quote request and pass it, with your consent, to the partner you have asked to hear from;
- to operate, secure and improve the Site, and to prevent fraud and misuse;
- to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns, normally on an aggregated basis;
- to comply with our legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
- to send you marketing messages where you have given consent (see section 8).
We work with advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, and with advertising networks such as Revcontent, to measure and deliver adverts. We do not use your personal information for any other undisclosed purpose.
5. Legal basis and consent
In Canada, we rely on your knowledge and consent. Where you submit a form, you are asked to agree to your details being passed to the named partner and to being contacted by email, SMS or telephone about the product you enquired about. Consent is optional, and you may withdraw it at any time (see section 11), subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer process your request.
We do not rely on implied consent for contact by email, SMS or telephone for marketing.
6. What we do not do
- Children. The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (or the age of majority in their province). If we learn that we have, we delete it.
- Data brokers. We do not sell personal information, and we do not transfer it to data brokers or to advertising exchanges for their own use.
- Hidden purposes. We do not use personal information for undisclosed purposes, including commingling it with other data or redirecting it through tags.
7. Who we share personal information with
| Recipient | Why |
|---|---|
| Insurance partners and their agents (for example the Seniors Choice agency and its insurer) | To contact you about the quote you requested, only if you have consented. |
| Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, analytics, form handling, communications, security) | To run the Site and our services. They may use the information only for our purposes and must protect it. |
| Advertising and measurement platforms | To measure and improve advertising performance, through cookies or pixels where you have consented. |
| Professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement | Where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights. |
| A purchaser or successor in a business transaction | Subject to confidentiality and continued protection of your information. |
8. Marketing and electronic messages (CASL)
We and our partners send commercial electronic messages (email, SMS) only with your consent, which is either express or implied as permitted by CASL. Each message identifies the sender, includes contact information and provides a working way to unsubscribe, which we honour within 10 business days. Telephone marketing is subject to the National Do Not Call List rules. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link, replying STOP to an SMS, or emailing [email protected], or by telling the partner that contacts you. Consent to marketing is separate from, and not a condition of, requesting a quote.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. They help a website work, remember choices, and measure how it is used and how well advertising performs. On this Site we may use:
- Strictly necessary cookies and storage, so that the Site and forms function and are secure;
- Analytics cookies, to understand how the Site is used;
- Advertising and measurement cookies or pixels, to measure campaign results and, where applicable, show relevant adverts.
Information passed when you click through. When you click an offer link, and you have accepted, we append the campaign identifiers from the link you arrived on (such as click or tracking IDs) to the link to the Seniors Choice website, so the visit can be attributed to this advertisement. If you decline, these identifiers are not appended. You can change your choice by clearing this Site's data in your browser. Contact details are never added to these links.
Where required by law, we only set non-essential cookies after you consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. Tracking parameters in a link (such as a click ID) are used to attribute a visit to an advert.
10. Where your information is stored; transfers outside Canada
We are based in Canada. Our service providers and partners (for example hosting, analytics and advertising platforms) may store or process information in Canada, the United States and other countries. When information is processed outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We use contracts and other safeguards to require a comparable level of protection.
11. Your rights and how to exercise them
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold personal information about you, and give you access to it and an account of its use and disclosure;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information where we no longer need it;
- withdraw your consent or restrict or object to our processing, including for direct marketing;
- explain how we handle your information, and give you a copy in a portable format where required.
To make a request, email [email protected] or write to the Privacy Officer at the address in section 1. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within 30 days (extendable by up to a further 30 days in the circumstances permitted by PIPEDA, in which case we will tell you). Access is generally free; if a fee applies we will tell you in advance.
Complaints. Please contact our Privacy Officer first. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (1-800-282-1376), to your provincial privacy regulator (for example Alberta, British Columbia, or Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information).
12. How long we keep personal information
We keep contact details submitted through an enquiry for 24 months, so that we can honour opt-outs and avoid duplicate contact by us or our partners, and to meet legal obligations. We then securely delete or de-identify them, unless we are required by law to keep them longer. Technical and advertising data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes in section 4. Partners keep your data under their own retention policies.
13. Security and breaches
We use physical, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption, access controls limited to people with a business need to know, and confidentiality obligations. No internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us. We keep a record of breaches of security safeguards. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
14. Quebec residents
The insurance product advertised on this Site is not currently available in Quebec. Residents of Quebec who nevertheless contact us have the rights provided by Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, including the rights of access, rectification and de-indexation, and we will respond in French on request.
15. Links to other sites
The Site links to third-party websites, including that of the insurance provider. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before submitting information.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will ask for fresh consent where required.
